Dear Abby,
I have noticed a pain in my elbow when I am washing dishes or working in the garden. It’s a nagging ache. What can I do to help this?
Sincerely,
Katie Murphy
Dear Katie,
The solution to this problem is have your husband or children do the dishes and tend to the garden! Just kidding! Try some easy stretching exercises for your elbow, wrist and shoulder before overexerting them. Try to do the dishes and gardening in small bouts. Repetitive motion bothers the elbow so try not to do it all at once. If the aching does not improve, come by for a quick evaluation and we can find exercises tailored to your specific needs.
